Central Heating
As well as radiator and boiler repairs, we offer complete heating installations
Central Heating Systems
We can service, install and repair all types of central heating systems to ensure your house is warm when you need it to be. Our engineers are qualified to work with Gas, Oil and LPG systems. We can also offer advice on the best system for your needs.
We would recommend an annual service of your boiler as well as your central heating and we now offer service plans to spread the cost over the year.
GAS
There is no doubt that the most economical fuel to run your heating system on would be mains gas.
There is a large choice of gas boilers with a model to suit most budgets and heating systems.
Wall hung as well as floor standing models, they are probably the most versatile where positioning is concerned. They can be installed inside most kitchen cupboards or even in the loft.
They are highly efficient and all the Worcester range (as well as most other makes) are what we call “Modulating” boilers. This means that if the demand is low, they will modulate down to achieve a lower rate of heating and therefore efficiency, whereas if the demand is high they will run at full capacity.
Any gas boiler installation is only possible if you are on the “grid” otherwise we have to look at alternatives.
Oil
Oil boilers are larger than an equivalent gas boiler of the same output and unfortunately will be more expensive. However, they are a viable alternative and have the benefit of being able to go outside. The External oil boiler comes with its own weatherproof box and we would always suggest putting them outside if possible.
The modern oil boiler is far more efficient unit than its predecessor and although not as efficient as a gas boiler, correctly sized they are both economical and efficient sources of heating.
A suitable sized oil tank, positioned within 40m of an access road is necessary and we can both advise as well as install this with any boiler installation.
LPG
LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas) is usually run from large orange bottles but can also be run from a bulk tank which can be sunk below ground level so that’s is less obtrusive.
An LPG boiler has the benefit of being exactly the same size unit as its mains gas equivalent but with subtle adjustments to the internal components. It is slightly more expensive to buy than a mains gas boiler but otherwise shares the same site requirements. The cost of buying LPG makes it more expensive to run, especially if bought in bottles rather than bulk.
Underfloor Heating
There was a time when underfloor heating was considered to be only available to the wealthy, but these days you can easily incorporate this luxury home feature into any room renovation or extension as a cost-effective alternative to radiators.
Smart Technology
We are moving towards heating and hot water systems that fit around our busy lifestyles.
Stuck in the office and going to be late home? Delay the “on” time of the central heating to save on your heating bills.
Had a busy day, feel rotten and looking forward to an early finish and a nice hot bath? Turn the heating and hot water on an hour or two early and let your home welcome you with a big hug and a nice hot bath.
The days are here where we can control our heating and hot water remotely, even individual radiators if you really want to. There are some great systems that once paired with your phone via the appropriate App, can give you infinite control of your heating as well as hot water.
Your whole system can become far more efficient when control is via a smartphone or tablet.
If it all sounds a bit too fussy, let us show you how easy it all is… It’s not as expensive as you might think… and it’s not new, untested technology. It’s been here a while and is tried and tested by many thousands of homeowners.

We could not have asked for a better service
“I wanted to drop you a line to say a huge thank you for the recent work which you have done on our boiler and heating system. Both the guys were respectful, polite, thoughtful, considerate, and did a great job. We could not have asked for a better service, thank you all.” David.
